Apparently, other people are having problems with the behavior of the <alt>+<tab> windows switcher in 11.10. I wish they would revert back to the 11.04 behavior. It was solid.
Is gnome shell worth going back to, and how do you set that up in 11.10? I'm a little hesitant to do that because I don't like getting away from the supported desktop environment. What instructions...
I upgraded to Oneiric, and there is one change that is really annoying. In every previous Ubuntu, <Alt> + <Tab> switched between windows in the current workspace only, but in 11.10 <Alt>+<Tab>...

Suspend/hibernate did not resume until I installed an NVIDIA driver, and it immediately worked as soon as installed any of the proprietary drivers.
Installed. I still have the same touchpad problem. Whenever I resume from suspend or hibernate, all the touchpad settings are lost.
If I could change the default touchpad settings, I think...
Interesting. I want to try this, but I cannot get the *.run file to install correctly. I tried simply clicking the file, and it opened with gedit. After about a minute or so of watching a progress...
My problem:

I connected my desktop to my LAN with an ethernet cable, and it automatically found the correct driver. Once I installed it, everything worked fine on the Wireless network.
When I use the command ndiswrapper -l, I get a warning:

I've been having the same problem. I installed the bcml5.inf driver using ndiswrapper, and it's not showing up when I try to look at my network connections. Is it possible this is not a...
