The graphics at the login screen look quite normal, and all of the graphics during the install, are what I would expect.

I made the "Big Leap", about a month ago!

I still have some issues yet to be resolved, (like: "how do I share the files on my Dell dimension 3000, with my Novatech Laptop"**, and: "I can't sync...
  10. [SOLVED] Re: Update Manager in Maverick Meerkat 10.10

    Hi Again All,
No further along with the syncing, all routes are proving to be unworkable!

So we'll just have to wait and see if 11.04 answers the problem.

So I'm closing this thread. BUT as...
  13. [SOLVED] Re: Is it Possible to sync a windows mobile phone to Evolution in 10.10?

Okay! it appears to be possible to do it via Ubuntu 1, but only with Contacts, on my particular phone, (which is all I really want anyway!)

But you can't do it with a 'free account', you have to...
  14. [SOLVED] Re: Is it Possible to sync a windows mobile phone to Evolution in 10.10?

I'm presently investigating the Ubuntu 1 route since they support the O2 Orbit II XDA that I have, but only for contacts, which again is OK, since all I want to do is sync my contacts anyway!

    But...

Okay! Having no responses, I went down the "Try it and see" road!

I found a later blog, on...

  19. [SOLVED] Re: An easy way to delete Windows XP from a dual boot system using Meerkat

No luck with the "fdisk -l", both on windows, or Ubuntu! both gave me a "File not found" message!

I don't ever remember Fdisk being a part of XP anyway, other than on the install CD

  20. [SOLVED] Re: An easy way to delete Windows XP from a dual boot system using Meerkat

  23. Re: upgrade to meerkat automatic to desktop edition

Sorry for the delay in replying, I've had a 3 day broadband 'outage', just to add to the fun.

The "Lucid Lynx" desktop version is still a "Happy little Bunny", so I'm going to stick with it until...
  24. Re: upgrade to meerkat automatic to desktop edition

Now that the screen sizing 'error' seems to have been corrected, I think that I'll stay with 'Lynx' until the next hardware upgrade. Whenever that will be?

I don't know how long this poor old...
