[ubuntu] Re: Receiving files via bluetooth

I use rfcomm but in my own Java application which works as a Bluetooth server for cell phone. It was impossible with Ubuntu's bluez-utils. I'm sorry if I misled you, gds.

  7. Re: HOWTO: Configuring Logitech mice in Ubuntu 6.06: New Guide

AFAIK lomoco doesn't support all Logitech mice. Look here http://lomoco.linux-gamers.net/
  8. Re: HOWTO: Splashy (replacement for usplash, as good (or better) than bootsplash!)

Definitly something is wrong with the repo. I can't install Splashy.

    tomek@ubuntu:~$ sudo apt-get install splashy splashy-themes

  9. Re: HOWTO: Configuring Logitech mice in Ubuntu 6.06: New Guide

Unfortunately, it doesn't work. With evdev, keyboard went mad - arrows stopped working, del key acted as printscreen etc. I didn't investigate this problem (it was useless because extra keys didn't...
  10. Re: HOWTO: Configuring Logitech mice in Ubuntu 6.06: New Guide

I confirm that. That's my case - extra keys stop working when evdev is enabled in xorg.conf (though evdev is turned on theoretically only for mouse). I found quite interesting topic on Gentoo forum -...
  11. Re: HOWTO: Configuring Logitech mice in Ubuntu 6.06: New Guide

Did you edit xorg.conf in order to use evdev? Default driver doesn't register events from all buttons.
  12. Re: HOWTO: Configuring Logitech mice in Ubuntu 6.06: New Guide

    @zero17388 - I'm glad I could help :)

It seems that I found solution to udev rule problem with USB base station used to connect 2 devices (mouse + keyboard). I've tested it on Logitech MX3100...
  13. Re: HOWTO: Configuring Logitech mice in Ubuntu 6.06: New Guide

    After executing command
sudo rmmod pcspkr PC speaker disappears from /proc/bus/input/devices so maybe you should blacklist pcspkr. Try to add "blacklist pcspkr" to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist and...
  14. Re: HOWTO: Configuring Logitech mice in Ubuntu 6.06: New Guide

I tried to patch kernel 2.6.17.8(from kernel.org) but I understand what you mean - there must have been some changes in code or simpy patch is broken.
  15. Re: HOWTO: Configuring Logitech mice in Ubuntu 6.06: New Guide

Yes, that's true. I use Logitech MX 3100 wireless set (keyboard + MX1000 mouse) and I have to decide - fully functional keyboard(connected by PS/2) or fully functional mouse (connected by USB). If I...
