sudo updatedb
locate libflashplayer.so

@dmizer - Thanks for the guide, I was able to resolve issues I was having with my EeePC seeing my Samba shares correctly by following the pre-work steps.
Thanks, I followed the steps in the "pre-work" section of that thread. This fixed my problem and I can now also browse my Windows 7 share, which I was never previously able to do on my Eee.

Following the instructions by kassetra to downgrade the kernel on the previous page fixed the problem.
Its pretty much identical performance to XP with an out of the box Ubuntu installation. You will unlikley notice any difference anyway.
