Seems gpointing-device-settings not remembering settings is a known fault.
You can get around this by using synclient.

Clean install of 10.4
I select shutdown and it takes me back to the login screen. Trying to shutdown from that screen does the same.

Solved the problem with Phatch.
The save action lets you specify the extension and as I use it to resize I've just combined both actions.
When I import images from my camera Ubuntu assigns them upper case extensions i.e. .JPG (I assume it's Ubuntu's doing as in windows they're lower case)
This causes a problem when I come to upload...

Managed to start the installer with
sudo --force
However, after the first few screens it's asks for the Admin password and no matter how many times I enter it, it tells me it's incorrect.
Does this mean it won't work with 64bit Ubuntu?

I have a dual screen setup (1680x1050 on screen 1 and 1280x1024 on screen 2)
Since I've started using this script, screen 1's resolution will change at random, but I don't know what it's changing...
Up until yesterday I had 7x 80mm and 2x 120mm case fans + the usual.
I've swapped cases now and only have:
1x Arctic Cooler 64 CPU Fan (dual fans)
1x Graphics Card Fan.
1x 120mm PSU Fan
1x...
2GB, never used anywhere near that though.
These are obviously aimed at people who just want a cheap pc and aren't concerned about bells and whistles or just so strapped for cash that anything will do.
