To the OP:
As far as I'm concerned, the ASLR + PIE mechanism is best implemented on Linux.
Windows XP - ASLR doesnt exist
Windows Vista - ASLR can be bypassed
Windows 7 - ASLR can be bypassed...
Great news, your hardware seems to be intact. Can't help you further, though.
If I was you I'd go to http://startpage.com
and searched the string that lspci gave you.
Kudos to ncdu developers.
BTW. I just compared ncdu and baobab speeds in processing my home directory -
ncdu was like 2 secs, whereas baobab took 20 secs.
From that specific error, I can't tell.
You still can disable your hard disk in BIOS and boot off of a USB flash.
If you don't get kernel panics, then you're in luck - hard disk is the culprit.
Another solution would be to use
http://startpage.com and lookup firefox kiosk mode
Try ncdu - terminal based disk usage analyzer.
Only the topmost like /bin /lib /home will be owned by the copier. I assume that you will copy them as root. Right now they are owned by root anyway.
Does lspci recognize the sound card?
Has it always been like that?
Seems like your touchpad driver thinks that left button release is a double click.
Could you click the left button and release it over a folder in a file manager...
You can make a back-up of your partition by simply copying all folders like
/bin
/home
/lib
etc. into a different place.

It sure seems like a hardware issue.
The kernel panic can occur at any stage if there is malfunctioning hardware. In your case it occured at the time when there was some unix socket data...
The feature you are after is called "inotify". You may want to look that up with
http://startpage.com
Could you tell us what kind of feature of a decade-unupdated ups debugger is there, that makes you think it will be best for you? Are you planning to debug an app for which you have no source?
Try a console app "xev" - see if there is any reaction to those keys. if X doesn't react to those keys, neither will Gnome's Keyboard Shortcuts.
Does the last couple of lines of /var/log/messages give any hints what happened before it crashed?
Could you run a tool called baobab and tell us of your findings?
Also, a quote from cockatrice.de
Ubuntu's libqt4-dev is version 4.4
This should be the reason of failed compilation.
Without more in-depth study, my first impression is this:
I see qt3 in here, whereas QGraphicsItem is qt4 feature.
Maybe you could ask cockatrice developers why that is the case...
Cannot comment on the Mac/USB issue.
But seeing that Jolicloud is Linux-based, could you install Unetbootin in Jolicloud and use it to create a bootable USB Ubuntu?
Have you seen the plugin to assign keyboard shortcuts?
http://empty.23inch.de/pmwiki.php/Main/EditShortcuts
I'm not sure if it handles WordWrap, please let me know.
I am not aware of a graphical tool to set limits, but if you are willing to look into iptables options, there is one to set a limit on bandwidth coming from/to a certain user.

This may be an issue with your browser's flash plugin.

At the bottom select "Join the html5 trial" and try to watch some videos....
Natty is unstable in the sense that it might be using a driver for your touchpad, which driver might produce such jumpy behaviour.
Have you done any research whether this behaviour has been observed...
My thoughts would be if I am 100% sure that that 32-bit deb is compatible with 64-bit, I would modify the deb file and change the Architecture string i386 to (something like) x64.
I can't recall the...
