    I use XMPP as my IM of choice.

    I use XMPP transports fopr MSN etc, so I can talk to people on other networks. For various reasons this is better for me than using pidgin with multiple accounts...

    Yes - this works and has always worked for me via a shell but I can't get mplayer to rium when I click a link in FF. FF is set to open streamed mp3 with mplayer

    No matter what I tried I couldn't send as a user @ gmail - ended up using an @jabber.org account to sent to my google talk account and it worked first time

    Jeremy fairly sure wireless is activated as I can see *some* access points, although I can't see my own, even though it has no ssid

    iwconfig shows eth1 exists but is not associated with any...
