No difference trying to use pkexec or gksu which others seem to have used when i googled for the same issue.

Have all packages updated and using 2 monitors on a 4850 card
For me, using su instead of sudo fixed the problem :)

Having the same problem, though found another fix that i just posted to WineHQ AppDB.
Press Alt+Enter at startup to set it to windowed mode, which sets it to anti aliasing x1 :)
