This anti-alasing method is not similar to gnome-appearance-properties. And I must admit that this method is a little bit uglier. But you can check that is is anti-alised or not by zoom in the text...

This is a problem with pulseaudio server.
There are 2 solutions:
1) You can remove the pulseaudio config file:

2) Remove pulseaudio and use only alsa. (I think this way is better)
