Normally printer drivers are in the repos and you have to go to the Brother website and follow instructions to...
For example, set video bitrate to 64kbits/sec
In xubuntu I just use a launcher switch to turn compositing on and off as needed (to overcome tearing)
The effects are hardly...
The only thing I can think of is that your banTime is too long. Try 600 instead of 1200?
If ssh is running and fail2ban is running then it should be all working. Are you testing failed logins...
Yes, I have. I don't use the regex, just view the fail2ban.log or run one of the one liners I linked a post to. How have you set up your jail? I am guessing that fail2ban is running but your ssh jail...
Doesn't work for me either. I also tried the .pls from the site without luck.
Good sounds though :)
fail2ban is running, yes? You have set up a / some jail/s ?
can you output your fail2ban.log and config / jails here ?

In my preference the fourth option is to run a command when the song title changes (not the track) which is designed for network streams. I guess you have tried...
Something must still be wrong with the installation, the first command works fine here (on Xubuntu 12.04 with ffmpeg/x264 compiled as per the ffmpeg guide). And you are still using sudo!! Should not...
I get this too. It seems to mount OK, so never really tried to find a fix, and it is a bit of a spurious message as of course it is read only, its an iso!! :)
but where was the x264 directory?
with you loogged in as that user?
I could, of course be barking up the wrong tree (awaits Fakeoutdoorsman to be put straight ;))
Did you follow the guide to the letter? You should only have to use sudo on the apt-get commands at the beginning and the install command at the end. everything else is in your ~/home area so should...

Are you using "sudo make" on ffmpeg too ???
If you used sudo where it wasn't needed you may end up with some permissions...
I've not had much luck with xfburn (PC crash) and brasero (just didn't work) so I always end up installing K3b and this always works fine. I know this pulls in a lot of kde / qt stuff, but it solves...
You could try xdotool for this:
xdotool key space
or as long as mplayer has focus
xdotool key p
You seem to have snuck a "--depth 1" in there - not in the tut ?
git clone http://git.chromium.org/webm/libvpx.git
+1 for a usage guide, with all the changes to syntax recently I have got lost :(
L322 here. Previously P38A.
Is it the monitor that says "no support" or the OS?
Do you see a grub menu? If not you can edit grub (see tutorials & tips) so that it shows up, set a splash screen...
Given you appear to be a fellow LR owner ;)....
Did you previously get a splash screen with the same PC?
Are you dual booting (otherwise you won't see a grub menu)?
Which version, 12.04?
Don't think it has anything to do with the changes you made to bluetooth, but all the additional dm's you added in one go. Looks like xdm is trying to loading but one of the others is the default. Do...
Just install grub-customiser you can then "easily" set the grub menu to appear.
Plymouth should be installed already - it can be a bit of a b****r on some hardware though e.g. it has not worked...
Open thunar as root
Browse to /usr/share/xfce4/backdrops (or something like that - sorry on W7 at work at the moment)
Find the "left" or "right" background image and copy it to /boot/grub/ (or pick...
Great thread, (OP prepared to try anything ;)), great problem solving, great support, great solution :)
