I'm having a problem with my built-in microphone. I can use a 3.5mm headset, but when I try to use the build-in microphone without the 3.5mm jack, I get no recording.

I edited /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.confand commented out "dns=dnsmasq".

I just installed xubuntu. I'm using a VPN on my host machine. I can't connect to the internet. I tried pinging a public IP address with no luck. I have stopped and restarted networking.
I have a small amount of RAM and want to add to the swap file. I see that this one is setup already:

It turns out that NetworkManager was not updating /etc/resolv.conf with the nameservers.
Commenting out dns=dnsmasq in /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf worked after rebooting.

I was able to get it to connect after changing the DNS settings to be the same as what my host machine is currently using. Is there a way to get this to work dynamically?
