    Would it help any if told you the numbers are horizontal and vertical frequency.

    Also the latest Nvidia driver for your card is version 290, 32 or 64 bit.

    Hi everyone.

    In Terminal I switch to the approriate directory and type in sudo vmware-install.pl but all I get is command not found

    This is in a Ubuntu 11.10 install in VM-Ware Workstation 8....

    What file system is on the USB, ext3 or NTFS etc..

    Use Administration --> System Monitor, click the "File Systems" tab, it should show /dev/sda1 ext3 for your main drive and /dev/sdb1 ... etc....

    Install:

    1. sensors-applet
    2. hddtemp (will ask if you want to run at startup) Yes
    3. sensord
    4. lm-sensors

    I've been scanning my notes and found this: iommu=memaper This is from AMD to try in your kernel line. Leave the nohpet in there too.

    I switched to gOS, so I don't have this problem anymore so...

    You have to extract the contents of the ISO to a directory on your HDD.

    Wine doesn't know what an iso is, it looks for exe or msi files.
