I'm running Linux 4.2.3-040203-generic on Ubuntu 15.04. My dmesg says in red (thus error):
$ dmesg -l err

FWIW: I'm now running Ubuntu 15.04 on my HP Stream 13 (with updated firmeware) and it's quite OK.
However, with 3.19.0-28-generic dmesg shows these messages:

I did that (see below), and the dmesg error message is gone. Thank you!

I installed linux kernel 4.1.1 on my Ubuntu 15.04 (trying to get rid of some problems). My dmesg now says:

I wonder how Phoronix (http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=MTAyNjU) achieved a linux kernel compile of 1 minute with an Intel Core i7 3960X. Or is the Intel Core i7 3960X 22...

OK, thanks for the info. So I guess the "pr_err()" (as in: error) is bit over the top.
Thanks.
With vivid (both kernel 3.18 and 3.19), my dmesg says:

Hi,
I bought a HP Stream 13 laptop (HP 13-c000nd-N2840): Quite a nice laptop: not a power beast (Intel Celeron, 2GB), but a handy device for only 219 Euro including VAT.
I installed Ubuntu...
Great it works!
14.04? How did that info get into /etc/resolv.conf ? Did you do that yourself by hand?
Because on 14.04+ it should look this:
$ cat /etc/resolv.conf
# Dynamic resolv.conf(5) file for glibc...
All these tests are done on the Ubuntu Server?
Which version of Ubuntu?
