[ubuntu] Re: reboot & shutdown log

The syslog daemon probably doesn't run. Try cat the process list to a file before you run logger to check.

[SOLVED] Re: NFS mess - can mount NFS *BUT* wrong share

My guess is that stating the same fsid twice will create some problems.
Try something like this and read the README file in /usr/share/doc/nfs-common.

    /export...
  4. [all variants] Re: NFSv4 mount fails: "No such file or directory"

NFSv4 uses the option fsid=0 to state where to root all exports on the server. Please read /usr/share/doc/nfs-common/README.Debian.nfsv4.

  7. [all variants] ubuntu-bug does not seems to support proxy?

    Hi,

I've tried to report a bug thou ubuntu-bug but it does not seems to support proxy. I even tried to set http_proxy=http://proxy:8080 without success.

    Error message:
    ---
    Could not upload...
  8. [ubuntu] Re: Connect to DFS (distributed file system) on Win2K3 domain

I have the same problem when I run nautilus with gvfs/smb. smbclient does handle this.
Currently we run "smbclient -k '//domain.net/mynet/share' -c list" too resolve the "real" path.
