I assume that there is more floating somewhere. Its a 640GB HDD, and its only showing 596GB available. Thats 44GB missing somewhere.

the layout is 14.3GB restore partition NTFS, 582GB Windows 7 (NTFS) install with 67GB used. It has plenty of room to install.

Plus if it was a partition issue, that dont explain why it dont work...

just reinstall ubuntu from a disk or USB, and set a simple username and password (like user and password), and explain to the end user how to customize it.

i did follow your guide there. It didnt work. Installed, if you would have read, the programs that it says to, and set region to 1 for USA, and movieplayer still says that it needs a plugin to play...
