I have been trying for the past few days to get Ubuntu to install and work on my latptop MaxData ECO 4011 WI nothing worked i could get to the menu from the disk where it asked what i want to...

i tryed the alternate CD and when going though the loading prossess the screen was in half so i could not read what was going on.

The keybored would not type propply to so i desided not to...

does that mean u need t know lots of code and stuff though? to get it worknig?

I can get to the menu from the CD click install or run from CD it seems to do all that OK its just when Ubuntu loads...
