Try using the path
/home/myhome/snap/notepad-plus-plus/current/notepad-plus-plus/notepad-plus-plus.exe
Also, update any desktop files of np++ accordingly, if needed be.
You can install the snap:
sudo snap install chromium
Also, 16.04 proper still receives security updates (even more so if you enable Pro).

A better way to achieve what you want would be to use nvm.
If you are on 18.04, then the option 64 bit For CentOS/RedHat 7.x, Ubuntu 14.x - 19.x -> master-pdf-editor-5.4.38-qt5.amd64.deb should work without problems.

You could try the snap package:
snap install ffmpeg
You could try the following so that the game will think that your hardware supports OpenGL2.x, i.e.:
in your Steam library right-click on the game's entry and select Properties, then click on Set...
You could try this:
sudo apt-get install audacity:i386
As a workaround and for better or worse you can install the snap version of Gimp:
sudo snap install gimp
