I changed (clean install) Thursday from Jaunty to Koala and it has only been positiv. I still had to work a little with the wacom- and rotation-stuff but with galis and Favuxs guides...
Sorry, but I have NO idea what anything means in the script. It just worked!
Strange about the mouse though. What kind of laptop do you have? Maybe there is a function that have locked the mouse?...
Hi Afief.h
I have a tx2590eo and the script in this link helped me with the same problems. (and I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 now)

Hi Kjamo36
I don't know which guide you have been following, but Favux' guide (gali's guide updated), worked for me just yesterday.....but I have done it before and I did some tricks also! :-)
It...
I managed to remove cpufreq and reinstall powernowd.
I added powernow-k8 to /etc/modules
my cpu-family is 17
martin@martin-laptop:~$ cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep family
cpu family : 17
cpu...
The only thing that has changed is that the cpu-widget shows 100% the whole time now and the fan is making a lot of noise. I then tried to remove cpufreq but Synaptic also wants to remove...
You are right Favux.
I installed cpufreq and I then got the loadcpufreq-file in /etc/init.d.
My cpu-family is 17 so I also changed that in loadcpufreq. Only thing is that I had to uninstall...
Hi tC_Crazy
It seemed that I already had powernowd installed but it wasn't added in /etc/modules. It is now! I think I maybe can feel/hear a little difference now, but it's not much. I have also...
Hi
What/where or how can I work with the cpu-scaling?
I'm using Ibex on a HP tablet tx2590oe. The fan is working the whole time (not on 100% but still really noisey) even when nothing is going...
How I got the wacom-driver to work when I start my laptop:
sudo nano /etc/modules
add wacom
ctrl-o (save)
ctrl-x (exit)
reboot the computer
It worked for me!!!
Yes, the screen on the tx2500 only rotates one way - clockwise.
Martin
Hi Favux
You must be some kind of a wizard!!! Or at least gali must! :-)
I did the commands and restarted X - but nothing happened. Then I rebooted the computer and opened a terminal to check...
hmmm....actually I don't see anything about my keyboard in xorg except for
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Generic Keyboard"
Driver "kbd"
Option "XkbRules" "xorg"...
Hi favux
Sure, I'll wright about the happy ending - I LOVE happy endings!!! :-D
I think for now I don't need any more scripts. You have done a great job and I'm now using your 360_rotation...
Hi favux
Both scripts works perfect as they should. BUT I noticed something that all the scripts are doing including Shm's. I have a 12.1" screen with using 1280x800. When I rotate the screen the...
About the eraser:
I only (at least for now) use the stylus' eraser in xournal, and in that program the eraser automatically is assigned to the small button on side of the stylus. I think thats more...
sooooo....can I have the script to test?
Edit:
Forget my comment!!! I was to fast. :-)
I would like it to go counterclockwise and at least to potrait and landscape.
I haven't had eny problems...
Nice.
That works perfect to.
Next thing is:
Now I have 3 launchers on my desktop (for this test): Rotate left 90 degrees, rotate right 90 degrees and rotate 180 degrees.
With Shm's script I can...
Now we are getting somewhere!!! :-)
Both scripts works beautifully now.
Since you are the brain regarding the scripts, how do we get the screen to rotate 180 degrees?
I tried to chance the "left"...
Hi favux
I'm not sure about what you mean when you say I should try this line: rotation="$(xrandr -q --verbose | sed -n '16 {p;q}' | cut -d' ' -f5)" with the script? how/where/when?
Today I'm...
Hi favux
I have attached my Xorg.o.log. Maybe you can see what graphicsdriver I'm using?
Martin :-)
- it comes from /var/log
Hi favux
Here is the output you asked for. It's a bit different from your output - and yes I'm on kernel 2.6.27-10.
Screen: normal
martin@martin-laptop:~$ xrandr -q --verbose
Screen 0:...
I forgot to tell you, that stylus and touch also is working (the right way) when the screen/desktop has rotated.
Martin :-)
...and 3 hours later rotation WORKS!!!!!! :-D
As I told you, I made a clean install of Ibex and I didn't activate the fglrx-driver in Hardware Drivers. One of you wrote earlier that the fglrx-driver...
