I am on 64bit, and there isn't a bad cursor lag (a little but not anymore than normal....)
However I have a usb tablet pc, not serial.
You could try compiling the newest version, but you would have...
Yes that would work. As for being a mini-SSD not quite...
A flash drive has a lot less read/write cycles so you will probably want to get a hard drive for it.
You might have to change a bios option...
Find a file created by the installation that has not been modified since.
For example, I used /etc/adduser.conf.
if you use
ls -l it will list the date modified.
The date should be the date/time...
Hello all!
I searched the web and could find this info no where, So I finally emailed earthwalk and got a fix.
The earthwalk ecobuddy works great with ubuntu except for the touchpad which...
Hmmm... It sounds like it could work. As for going about doing it,
there are two directories you need.
/etc/apm/suspend.d
and
/etc/apm/resume.d
These directories use scripts similar to...
Perhaps the drive is too old to work with the adapter and/or the adapter does not support FAT32. What adapter do you have? (model/brand.)

Use that link I gave you. It explains everything.

It could be the nVidia... Are you on restricted drivers?
And I wouldn't mess with the voltages....
You might search google for the windows problem, as probably more people are using it with windows...
What video card do you have?
You can run:
xrandr -o right
xrandr -o left
xrandr -o normal
or
xrandr -o inverted
to rotate the display. Just run it in the terminal.

Try going into appearence and setting the theme to something else, then move it back.
Also you can try changing the resolution, and then changing it back.

I actaully think gimp is pretty light (depending on what you are running on.)
An Icon is just an image. (In fact on ubuntu, I think they are just pngs.)
So any image editor should work.

Maybe he meant Alt+Right click?

+1 ^
The real problem is that if a user is able to see the image, then his computer has already downloaded it (when talking about the internet.)
All the user has to do is find out where his temp...
Quite right. But Wine uses a registry just like windows ;)
Kory
I think you're right. The actual windowing theme is set by gtk AFAIK.
Kory
Ooooohhhh... I get what you are saying now (after reading it about three times :))
Yes, I agree lol... Thanks for explaining.
Kory
I thought most programs use /tmp for that?
Or is the swap partition mounted to /tmp?
Kory
Just making sure ;)

Wait a second. I thought you are on OpenBox... What is theming gtk apps?
Kory
@Trebaruna lol...
I think there may be some math to it...
I have a 250GB hard drive, with 4GB of ram, and the ubuntu installer gave me 10GB swap.
But I'm not too worried about it..
Kory
Just to clarify on the above users post, you will have to download all the new packages (which will be pretty big anyway.)
I think that is what they meant. :)
Kory
Hold up. You probably want more swap than that. Good practice is to have twice your amount of ram.
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SwapFaq
If you want to hibernate, you need at least your amount...
Right. But the actual settings telling openbox what theme you are using should be in your home directory. ~/.themes is probably where you can put the actual theme files, not the settings. :)

I got this same popup and "virus-scanner" thing a couple of weeks ago.
I actually downloaded the file and ran it with wine to see what it did. As far as I know it did nothing (didn't change any...
