with the ubuntu boot-repair cd I could only install grub2 to sda5.
and what you said is right:
sda1 = windows boot
sda2 = windows8.1 installation + data
sda3 = elementeryOS...

I did the following:
booted ubuntu live session > sudo apt-get install gdisk > sudo gdisk -l /dev/sda > : then i choose gpt.
after that I tried...

I'm now using ubuntu-14.04-desktop-amd64.
