Re: Calculating mean from multiple tables in R

Why not read each text file and use the merge command?

    df <- merge(x, y, by = c('chr', 'start', 'stop')

The loop takes a bit more thinking in order to create a new dataframe each time. I don't...
  2. [SOLVED] Re: rdesktop connection to Windows server fails

Definitely server side, sorry for this, totally coincidental.

  3. [SOLVED] Re: rdesktop connection to Windows server fails

Ok, it may just be coincidental, I cannot get my Windows 7 laptop to connect now, either. I'll investigate further on the server side of things.

[photography] Re: Photography tools in Ubuntu

Ah, well, considering I paid less for LR (buying from Adobe) than Bibble, I don't think I'll complain. ;)

To be honest, I've not found it buggy at all.

That said, I shall download and try the...

[photography] Re: Photography tools in Ubuntu

I'd say when I first made the comparison, I'd have agreed with you, but now I find there are features in DT that I miss and I have LR now on my Mac. I wish that the Mac version of DT weren't so...

Re: Computer freezes after several hours(?)

When I last saw it, it was still working fine.

Frankly, I'd be surprised if it were not the RAM, see my previous post regarding Memtest86.

Re: Computer freezes after several hours(?)

After digging through log files and finding nothing, custom compiling an upstream kernel (thinking maybe it was a kernel bug) and still having the issue. I ran memtest86+ on the machine last night.

    Re: Dual monitor presentation program

I must confess, I'm scratching my head. The OP admits that OOo (and now LibreOffice) has what was needed but asks anyway?

If it were me I'd just
