  1. Re: There's a Chrome app for Netflix now, should work on Linux...just kidding.

All that is is basically a link to the Netflix site. The plugin on the chromebooks is what is actually used to view Netflix videos.

Excellent! I assume you changed the user agent string of...

Re: 10.10 will not boot after install.

Well, I'm not sure why it fixed it but I managed to. I booted back into the install USB and used fdisk to delete all of the partitions on the HDD (2 of them) and then used the disk editor program and...

Re: 10.10 will not boot after install.

(Basically repeating my original post here)

I DO see the grub menu and the recovery option does the same thing. I haven't updated any graphics drivers lately no, seeing as I JUST installed the OS...

10.10 will not boot after install.

I install Ubuntu Netbook Edition 10.10 on my Samsung NC10, and the live cd portion worked phenomenally. Wifi and everything else worked out of the box.

However, after the install when I attempt to...

    [ubuntu] Removing window borders

Is there anyway to remove window borders in Ubuntu? Something like the right click - > undecorate window like in openbox is mostly what I'm looking for.

[kubuntu] Re: Can't login, disk full?

Huh. That freed up about 200 meg which let me login and empty the trash, freeing up about 8 gig. Does deleting stuff with rm still send it to the trash?

    Thanks for the help guys.

    [kubuntu] Can't login, disk full?

So, whenever I attempt to login to KDE it boots me back to the login screen, I checked around and apparently my hard drive is full. So, I go around and delete some stuff and my hard drive is still...
  11. [ubuntu] Re: Savage: Battle for Newerth resolution problems with dual monitors.

Anyone have any ideas at all?

I also have a game called Regnum online installed and that runs fine across one monitor. Also, even when Savage is put into windowed mode it has no resolution options.
  12. [ubuntu] Savage: Battle for Newerth resolution problems with dual monitors.

I have a nvidia 6200 card with the latest drivers installed with 2 1024x768 monitors using Twinview. Savage currently runs across both monitors in 2048x768 mode, and there are no options in the...

[ubuntu] Re: Missing hard drive space in ubuntu 8.04

No, once the 2 gig on the first hard drive is used up, the system reports that there is no free space, even though I should have .9 gig free (according to GParted). And things that require free space...

[ubuntu] Re: Missing hard drive space in ubuntu 8.04

Yeah, but I'm losing almost nine gig on the second drive... which is more than I really want to be losing. the .9 gig I'm missing doesn't even really matter.

Oh well, thanks for the information.

[ubuntu] Re: Missing hard drive space in ubuntu 8.04

Well, according to Google, 2.9 Gigabytes would only be .3625 gigabytes rather than 2... so I'm guessing that's not it.

[ubuntu] Missing hard drive space in ubuntu 8.04

    This is incredibly odd.

    I have 2 hard drives, a 20 gig and a 180 gig.

The 20 gig has 2 partitions, a 729 MiB swap partition and a 17.93 GiB partition. The problem is that according to GParted...
  17. [ubuntu] Re: Dual x server/monitors: Stopping mouse from leaving one screen

If anyone knows anything at all about this, even if all they know is that it isn't possible. It would be greatly appreciated.
  18. [ubuntu] Dual x server/monitors: Stopping mouse from leaving one screen

I'm wondering if this is at all possible to do? Full screen gaming can be somewhat irritating when the mouse switches screens every time I hit an edge. If there would be anyway to have a toggle...
