[other] What filesystem is right for me?

I have a hard drive that I want to be dedicated to music, and it needs to be able to be mounted by both Ubuntu and Windows 7. Which filesystem would be the best option?

    Thanks in advance! =]

I would definitely try hard-wiring to your router first and updating via Synaptic, if you have a spare cable. It's usually what works for me when that happens.

[ubuntu] Re: External HDD appears as .EXE file

Try deleting the .ico file. Ubuntu might be trying to display that as the icon whenever you plug it in. I think everything is working the way it should be. (besides the icon :D)

[ubuntu] Re: External HDD appears as .EXE file

Are you sure that the screen you showed wasn't just the contents of the drive?

And formatting the drive will NOT void the warranty.

Re: Won't boot any more...I am at a loss

If you have a copy of 9.10, boot it.

Once it's booted, go to System > Administration > Disk Utility. You can perform a health check of your hard drive. It should tell you if it's failed or not. :D

[ubuntu] Re: External HDD appears as .EXE file

How does it "pop up" as an .EXE file? When you plug in your hard drive, what exactly happens?

[kubuntu] Re: I download a them, but not what?

    Sorry, I overlooked that.

    :-k

Try searching the forums. I'm not to familiar with KDE. I'm more of a Gnome person, myself. :)

[ubuntu] Re: Wireless N USB Adaptor

It has the same type of chipset as my Belkin f5d8053 (rt2870), and I can't seem to get it to work. I'd go with something else.

Re: What can Windows do that Linux can't?

For me, the biggest thing right now is that Netflix wont make "Watch Instantly" work with linux. My mom made me put windows back on her laptop because of this.
