just booted up a few minutes ago to find my resolution at 1024x768. it should be 1366x768. the only thing i can think of was an update that involved fglrx yesterday, but it seemed to work fine up...
o.m.g... i just booted up again, noticed a half hidden pop up about a monitor not being connected. i knew this was a jupiter thing so i checked that. i can change the res there no problem >.<

after log in the resolution changes from 1366x768 to 1024x768. also the bottom fifth of the screen is inaccessible. even changing the res back to 1366 using Display leaves that part of the screen...
this happened to me last year too, but it seemed to be fixed by commenting out a line in a config file. now it's back again... windows and my phone can connect via wifi, but ubuntu keeps coming back...
sorry to bump this thread, but thank you very very much for posting that link. galaxy is running very easily on my old athlon x2 laptop :D
i've tried partitioning d:/ which holds my wubi install. gparted complains of cross-linked files and aborts the procedure. i think wubi must need to be on the same partition as windows?

where do i find this in ccsm? i've changed top panel transparency (although it seems to be on or off no matter the value). i'd like to alter menus too...
1. the emerald 'fix' unfortunately doesn't work. it seems i'm stuck with gtk :(
2. xcscreensavers works great until i try to get back to desktop.. it either completely hangs or corrupts the screen....
photowheel just doesn't want to work for me in 12.04, i miss that effect :/
i've upgraded to precise and compiz still works... except photowheel for some reason. any ideas? :/
bingo! sorted in a second :D
i've checked ccsm and window decoration is checked and set to 'any'. still no buttons :(
(oddly, compiz is working fine (didn't expect that..) apart from photowheel not visible :/ )
and to push...

back into ccsm and un-tick 'enable desktop cube'. you should have received warning, though, that setting desktop cube would disable desktop wall which unity needs. (apparently...)
just found this a few mins ago. if i have a firefox page open and i move to the dash to open a new workspace, the page deforms slightly. once the workspace switch screen is open, the cursor seems to...
