    I am using Ubuntu 13.10 [64 bit] and wonder if it is possible to use the Thunderbird Calendar Lightning 2.6.2 as the default calendar application. Today the only option is Evolution.

    Yesterday I got an update via the system update manager and it seems to have solved the problem.

    I am sorry, that was a wee bit premature...
    As my PC fell into sleep again it did not reconnect to my internet on wake-up. The problem is still there although it worked when I tested twice before....

    I now have Ubuntu 13.10 and the wifi LED does not flash any more.
    Also I am now used to the constant noise from the fan. Hence, there is no need for having this thread open.

    It did not work creating the suggested file. I have deleted it. I am open for other suggestions if anyone knows what might be wrong.

    I got it...
    I had to type "sudo su" not just "su". I have created the modules file and am now trying out if it works.
