Oh no. So the step before when it asked me where to put the firmware file I should not have typed in /lib/firmware?
Is that going to effect its operation?
So I attempted setting this up and all went fine until I got to the command:
sudo ift-extract -a /lib/firmware/AppleUSBVideoSupport
It gave me:

I downloaded 8.04 and installed it. Now the iMac won't even boot up. It runs a bunch of processes then it looks as if the monitor turns off or something (since the power light fades in and out). ...
