  1. Re: Prevent USB-N13 [Realtek RTL8192CU] From Going To Sleep

Maybe it's too early to say so for sure, but I think I finally found a solution (4 months later!) I found this repository tonight: https://github.com/lwfinger/rtl8192cu

    It's possible that I...
  2. Re: Prevent USB-N13 [Realtek RTL8192CU] From Going To Sleep

Just how similar were these cases to my problem? Could these users maintain their connection with a ping? Was the issue with their network adapters going to sleep, when not in use?

    I haven't been...
  3. [ubuntu] Re: ubuntu 16.10 keep dropping wifi connection

My Asus USB-N13 adapter was giving that "destination host unreachable error" before as well, but has since worked fine. Now I just keep a ping open to my gateway IP, and it keeps my connection alive....
  4. Re: Prevent USB-N13 [Realtek RTL8192CU] From Going To Sleep

  7. Re: Prevent USB-N13 [Realtek RTL8192CU] From Going To Sleep

    rtl8192cu, probably. I tried renaming the file to " rtl8192cu-disable-power-management.conf ", previously, as well as editing " options 8192cu rtw_power_mgnt=0 rtw_enusbss=0 " to say the following: "...

  9. [ubuntu] Re: ubuntu 16.10 keep dropping wifi connection

I have an Asus Adapter (RTL8192CU). I find that if I am pinging a website such as Google or Yahoo, that I will not lose my connection. The issue seems to be that Ubuntu is putting the device to sleep...

GUFW - SPT / DPT Confusion

    Greetings,

In the following rule, is Port 137 the port that the UDP packet leaves 192.168.1.1 on, or is it the port that 192.168.1.2 receives the packet on?

  15. Poll: Question For Those Who Use Both Microsoft Office & LibreOffice

    Re: GNObuntu ?

Because they don't fit Unity? No. I just don't like changes that are silly like:

    You
    Everyone Else
    Some Other Dude

That is downright ridiculous. (Changes to Permissions)
