I have it installed and running on both 11.10 64bit and 12.04 64bit.Very little for configuration but runs fine and fast with no errors so far....

Just the simple fact that with all the user testing that is supposedly being done on this,there is not ONE Linux user in the testing pool.That spoke volumes to me....

What little I could find regarding Ubuntu on the Asus site it seems to be Ubuntu 10.10 and not anything newer,so I guess we will have to wait and see if the demand will still be there.
I have moved on so this isnt about me but about how to get Ubuntu into the mainstream.Maybe the OEMs have paid attention to the now familiar slogan....
Since this seems to be the MOST common sentiment from the Ubuntu/Canonical people it is no wonder that there has NOT been a deal with any OEM manufacturer.In todays marketplace to tell your user base...

Not sure how dead Gnome 2 actually is when Centos 6 is a fairly current release and they are using Gnome 2.28 and that is supported until 2017.....
