whenever i try to move lists, i get this error:


keri@Decaulion:/var/lib/apt$ sudo mv lists lists.old
mv: cannot move `lists' to `lists.old/lists': Directory not empty

what does that mean?...

is it one hash mark, or two?

whats with the decoder errors?

i tried it like you said, but to no avail. this is what was in the terminal window:


keri@Decaulion:~$ sudo apt-get clean

keri@Decaulion:~$ cd /var/lib/apt
...

i tried it, again, and i still didn't get anywhere with it. when i entered it into Terminal, i got these back:


keri@Decaulion:~$ sudo su apt-get clean
[sudo] password for keri:
Unknown id:...
