    Hi, All

    I'm having an issue where I am unable to connect to a TCP server socket open on an Ubuntu machine but I am able to connect if I open the same port on another machine using the same code....

    This is not the problem I'm having. The desktop locks up so all I can do is move the mouse. From the sound of the fan I think the CPU is 100% but I can't tell because it's frozen.

    Thanks, it worked.

    The reason I thought it was still broken is that I had a bunch of other CCSM settings turned off. When I turned them back on everything was back to normal.

    I took 'metacity --replace' out of startup and tried both those commands but I still have minimal window effects.

    btw Like I said before I am using Natty, but not Unity.
