Hopefully the recover partition still works... On my old laptop (Toshiba) once you changed the partitions, the recover partition no longer worked. I found out the hard way!
I find sometimes you just have to shut off the computer when that happens, and if you're not transferring anything, sometimes you can still unplug it though.
Just a tip on publishing, you could also probably use GitHub too so you can commit, push, and others can pull the code easily while Launchpad isn't working.
