It worked!
I unmounted Swap which unmounted sda2.
I deleted both swap and sda2.
I created another swap from the pile of *unallocated* that was left over.
Now just sda1 with boot...
Sda6 is deleted.
I used a Live CD of Lucid-Puppy-528.005 (sans *save-file*) as it loads instantly into RAM and doesn't involve a HDD.
I used *GParted* to do the delete.
I am still confused as why...
