    Free is used in 2 ways in the linux world - there is free as in beer, like you got thos OS's for "free", but then there is free software. Id suggest you have a read of this wikipedia page, to see one...

    Try using the alternate edubuntu cd (I didnt know there was a live edubuntu cd) I just installed it last week on my brothers pc, works perfectly.
