    Just out of interest, I just read a post on the ubuntu community documentation site that said because my cpu is PAE enables and I'm now running the PAE kernel I should be able to get up to 64GB on...

    [kubuntu] Reading an SD Card

    Hi,

    I've got a 1GB SD card that I'm trying to reading using kubuntu on my laptop.
    I plugged the sd card in but nothin gis happening, I'm getting nothing :(

    I've even run dmesg and nothing...

    it would be nice if Ubuntu could tell/check then install that kernel if the CPU type is PAE enabled?

    Yep just did a simple apt-get install linux-generic-pae and rebooted..
    outputs below:

    [SOLVED] Not seeing all my RAM

    Hi,

    My desktop has 4GB RAM and running windows vista, its showing 4GB RAM and checking the BIOS its showing 4GB RAM but Kubuntu is showing 2.71GB RAM!

    It can't be faulty ram as everything else...
