Like @grahammechanical said, you need to change that file with admin priviledges. Your login in Ubuntu does not have admin priviledges, I believe.

Try to first "sudo -s" into root and then modify...

It seems like the bootstrap file is in bash, whereas your error shows you're using zshell? That could definitely be a problem since those 2 shells are not the same.
