  1. [SOLVED] Re: Xmodmap keyboard change resets every reboot. How do I make it persistent?

Thanks again for the help and for finding this bug report. I can stop banging my head against the wall. I'll mark the issue as solved (even though it isn't, really!).
  2. [SOLVED] Re: Xmodmap keyboard change resets every reboot. How do I make it persistent?

Thank you for your response and the script.

I had actually tried modifying the .Xmodmamp file before to no avail. Tried again, but it still doesn't work. I also tried the script you provided via...

[SOLVED] Re: Installed Skype application doesn't launch.

Try running the program via command line and see if there are any errors. Try using those errors to solve the problem, or post them here to see if anyone can help decipher them.

    Otherwise,...
  4. [SOLVED] Xmodmap keyboard change resets every reboot. How do I make it persistent?

[SOLVED] Re: Halfway crashes Xubuntu 12.04

Right, well, if I had the ability to swap out the GPU, I would likely upgrade to something much more powerful. However, the computer is a laptop, so I work with what I have.

    [SOLVED] Halfway crashes Xubuntu 12.04

So I bought Halfway today, but during the second mission, the game crashes and my system locks up (cannot alt+ctrl+F1 out). The same crash happens if I run the game in WINE at the same spot.

    I did...

    Re: A good sci-fi book

Pretty much anything by Philip K. **** if you're looking for something different-ish. Flow My Tears The Policeman Said is a good one. Most of his books are, though. It's hard to go wrong.

Re: who here has a Droid phone?

It's too bad it doesn't look like there's going to be nexus 2.

Got my Froyo update today. Tethering is included so that's good. Haven't tried it yet, but word on the street is its a pay service....

Re: who here has a Droid phone?

Rooters (if that's a word) have been using the Droid to tether for months now. I believe wifi hotspots work as well. That's what's odd about the decision to remove it from the original Android...

Re: who here has a Droid phone?

It's not actually fear that's kept me from rooting. I've just weighed the benefits vs drawbacks and decided that while rooting unlocks plenty of potential, for me, it's not worth the hassle.

    But...

From what I've read, it sounds like the official Froyo update for the Droid will not include tethering or wifi hotspot abilities. Verizon commented that the phones' hardware does not support these...

Gotta +1 that! I prefer dragging/dropping folders over syncing any time. Do yourself a favor and install SwiFTP from the market if you haven't already. It allows wireless file transfers over any...

Got the Moto Droid about 5 months ago and it's likely the coolest thing I've ever owned.

I never rooted, so I've been waiting months to see Flash on my phone. Word on the street is Froyo OTA...

Hey, thanks! I couldn't get usb to boot up. Would have not guessed Unetbootin was the problem. Wireless and driver info was spot on as well. Thanks for the helpful post.

Well, hell. When I'm wrong, I'm wrong. I tested this in Photoshop as well and it doesn't work! But I know what I'm talking about so you'll have to trust me on this one.

    If you scan a grayscale...
