Thank you! I have been using one version of kernel since it was the only one that enabled the mic with no problems, this fixed it easily with the latest kernel =)

I read that its a known issue with the kernel 2.6.38+
but i can't find a solution anywhere. Anyone have any idea?

The problem still exist even with the 195 beta driver my Nvidia is GeForce GTS 250M

Exactly the same problem .. only occur when I switch to Alt+fX console or logout / suspend.

I have x500 and I can confirm that the monitor problem still exist in Ubuntu 9.04 and 9.10 with the latest driver 190 and the beta 195 as well. Before I installed the driver, I had no problems with...
