[ubuntu] Network card sometimes is not detected

    Hello guys,

I'm writing this message completely off-line (of course I'll upload it later while on-line). This happens every three, four reboots, and to be honest I don't have an idea of what might...

[ubuntu] Re: UEFI vs. BIOS install - Any adavantages?

Sadly this is likely to be true only because of MS plans to restrict pc user's to their malware forcing hardware producers to comply with their restrictions. Anyway I don't see why the GNU/Linux...

[ubuntu] Re: UEFI vs. BIOS install - Any adavantages?

And what if the UEFI is BIOS backward compatible, that would mean I could use a UEFI setup and also boot easily from CD/DVD/BD-ROMS, thumbdrives, etc?

[ubuntu] Re: UEFI vs. BIOS install - Any adavantages?

Well Fred, if you don't know and nobody else can help with GRUB2, multiple distros and UEFI, then I guess I'm going to disable the UEFI feature and go back with a traditional BIOS+GPT approach....

    Hi Fred

Well, the case is not so much about LVM, but particularly about UEFI vs. BOOT in a system with multiple distros. I don't plan to use Window$ at all.

It sounds like a good idea to leave...

    [ubuntu] Re: CDROM problem

    Hello,

It seems your problem is a very strange one.

If you can boot Ubuntu it means GRUB2 gets loaded before. In this case you can create an entry in GRUB2 to boot from an .iso file.

    Also...
