Bump!

A few apps that some should consider are:
SLiM - Simple Login Manager: http://slim.berlios.de/index.php
Qingy - http://qingy.sourceforge.net/news.php
Conky - http://conky.sourceforge.net/
...
Are the steps the same for using a 2.4 kernel?
If I can use 2.4.31 on Ubuntu I'll have no need for Mepis. :)
I haven't seen a package backported in weeks!
1.3 final is out now. :-)
You can apt-get it if you want to try it (runit and runit-run), but do so with caution. I was unable to get it to work, though I most likely did something wrong.
If someone has been able to get it...
Has anyone had any luck with kbootsplash?
The only font I really seem to care for is Consolas for my terminal and XpertMud client. Cool fonts, though. I like the irony of having them on my Linux box before most Windows users have them.
It's you who hasn't done your homework. Well over 90% of websurfers do, in fact, use IE.
Any chance of getting this in backports? It's amongst my most-used apps. :)
Fantastic! Thank you!
Awesome! Thanks! :)
Just one bump. :)
I'd really like to have this for my Kubuntu setup but the .debs won't work and I can't get it to compile.
O-tay. :)
So I can just install the .deb and boot using InitNG? No changing Grub or anything? I'd like to try it on my Kubuntu box...
Would the procedure be the same installing InitNG on Kubuntu?
There are Debian packages for InitNG...I've wanted to try it but I'm worried it will bork things.

Thanks for the guide. I just wish it was stable on my system.
