and secondly try your tablet in Mypaint to see if it least works on that.

What about Layout? it comes with the Pro version. Is it working for you ? cause for me after launching is crashing at the beginning, don't know why :sad:

i have tried with wine 1.2 and nothing :| It doesn't open

i will try this myself since we have the same machine and the same printer. But i cannot right now, only after a couple of months.

in fact, 10.04 doesn't work as much as i want it to cause my graphic tablet Genius Gpen F610 it crashes now and then for a while, and eventually works again, but this is a very inconvenient.
