Well, Debian is open source and released under the GPL, so people can do whatever they want with it! Why can't people understand this?
Firefox all the way!!!!!! :KS
I have a 334 MHz Pentium II and only ~230 MB of RAM. So would it be a good choice for me to switch to Xfce?
Thanks! I think I'll try it. It might come in handy sometime.....
Do they actually think Linux users will believe that? And the bad thing is, these ads are mostly on LINUX sites. :(
Ubuntu Center reminds me of Workspot. But Workspot uses VNC and a Red Hat desktop.
Ubuntu is GREAT! Probably the best things are its support and package/update management. Way better than Fedora.
I dual boot Edubuntu and Windows, but I still use wine when I don't feel like rebooting into Windows. :D
SUSE is good, but you need a fast computer. But YaST was so nice. And so was KDE.
Didn't work. Got this (again):
jason@edubuntu:~$ fcc
fcc: Received signal 11 (aborting)...
Aborted
Firefox is the second most used browser. So since IE isn't available for Linux (and hopfully never will be), it makes sense for Firefox to be the default browser. It is in many other distros.
Okay, I found this:
Change the DEBIAN/control file to check for the libqt3-mt library:
Depends: libc6 (>= 2.3.2.ds1-4), libgcc1 (>= 1:3.4.1-3), libqt3c102-mt (>= 3:3.3.3.2) | libqt3-mt,...
I found a thread in the Skype forums that said how to symlink liblibqt3-mt. Better go Google it.
Here it is:
jason@edubuntu:~$ fcc
fcc: Received signal 11 (aborting)...
Aborted
Hope it helps.
It doesn't work for me! :( It aborts with error 11 when I run it! Anyone know what's wrong?
