just one more thing...cant i access ftp server by name..i mean i m accessing it by ftp://ipaddr...cnt i do by instead a name???...

i performed all the steps you had said...
but when i gave start command...
it showed startin n then gave fail
i m unable to start my ftp server.....it shows fail....pls help me:confused:
