I just installed kubuntu-desktop on my ubuntu machine.

The wifi works in KDS but stopped working on GNOME, what happened?

I ran an altered version of that so it would only ping 3 times

Here's what I got

I just recently installed ubuntu server on a PC that'll be our home server.

I got it connected to the network but I can't update the repos with apt or aptitude.
It stops at...

Got it working!!!

But I can't get repos to update, something about unable to reach security.ubuntu.com
But I can connect, I pinger google.com and it worked perfectly!

It's a home server, I think the cable company gives us DHCP.
Though the way I have it hooked up currently is via OS X Internet sharing with an Ethernet cable, if that makes any difference
