I used the same guide to get my wifi card working except I just skipped the "linux-backports-modules-cw-3.2-oneiric-generic" step.
Update to my original thread: I now use rEFInd as an alternative to rEFIt. rEFInd is an open source fork of rEFIt and provides better support. From Rod Smith, the same guy who provided GPT fdisk....
