Finally solved this. All I had to do was move .config/plasma and let plasma rebuild it.
~$ mkdir -p plasma
~$ mv .config/plasma* plasma/

I accidentally unplugged one of my displays while a video was running on it and my desktop crashed. I tried rebooting and restarting plasmashell (using Kubuntu 15.04), but nothing is working. I just...
This isnt very accurate. Sure, any GTK (Gnome) program will run on a KDE machine, but it wont always respect system wide defaults and wont interact with other KDE programs which can sometimes cause...
Bit of an overreaction, isnt it? If Ubuntu moved to a DE that you didnt like, you could simply put Unity or some other DE on it, much like you adviced the OP to do. I have no idea where you got the...

I got new internet. The ISP gave me a router.
Yes, this is the problem. The only way Ive found to connect is with the terminal program pppoeconf. If I dont use that program, when I plug the network cable into the computer, it says eth0 is...

If players can do anything they want, wont rules be made as the game is played?
Okay, well lets see if your mouse is at least detected by the system. In a terminal, run "xinput list" and post the output here.
Because it uses Mono. Have you installed Mono?
Im confused. If this game is played by a group of friends who are in the same space and the game master still has to create the world and scenario, what purpose does the computer serve? What do you...

This seems to be a common issue. Try...
In my experience, tech support people are generally helpless if you try to do something outside the scope of their manual, like use Linux. Youd be much better off getting support on Linux forums, or...
What problems are you having specifically?
I used to have problems with it and I simply deleted it. Worked like a charm. Since then, I have found a solution to my problems and now use pulse...
Install the program lm-sensors. From the command line, run "sudo sensors-detect" to find all the temperature sensors in your machine. Answer yes to all the questions. Once youve done this, you can...
The nice thing about having a fast machine is that you can have a pretty desktop AND run intense programs. My main computer has an Intel i5. I run Kubuntu on it and have never had a problem with...
Id give Ubuntu at least 1 GB of ram. The system requirements call for 512 mb, but this would give you a very slow system. Unity isnt exactly lightweight.
Looks like Canonical updated the openssl package in 10.04, maybe to patch the recently discovered vulnerabilities.
