Is it possible to rotate only 1 display in a 2 screen setup using twinview, or is nvidia still being stupid (re http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=803314)?

Can you elaborate please? Do you want to be able to reboot into a command line environment, or do you want a script to be run when your computer shuts down/starts up?

Right now, I have a hardware raid array (1 TB) serving as my multimedia repository. This array is connected to my computer via e-SATA and is encrypted using true-crypt.

I have been having CD and DVD burning problems since I upgraded to Ubuntu 8.10. Whether I use wodim, brasero, or the built in iso-writer in nautilus, the same thing happens: The burn will start, then...
I have an odd situation. I am setting up an ubuntu 8.04 install to run XBMC. My main goal is to get it running though the S-video out on my ATI Radeon RV100 QY [Radeon 7000/VE].
Awesome! That worked great!
