Troubles connecting to fileserver on LAN
Hello, at home here we have a few machines all networked using a wired LAN. My son (a dedicated microsoft person and IT techie at a local school) has installed a fileserver which I can access freely using my old windoze PC. On the go faster Ubuntu 80.4 I can see the fileserver, even open the first directory but that is all. I cannot open any directories lower than C:\data\ also and worst I cannot make a directory for ubuntu to use nor can I read or write to any part of the fileserver. My son tells me all permissions are set so I guess it must be my ubuntu box. I get the following error.
You do not have the permissions necessary to view the contents of "Neils-stuff".
(Neils-stuff is at C:\data\Neils-stuff).
any ideas ??
