I assume you wait long enough because loading lists takes some time. Could you post/attach the output of
Code:
cat /var/log/syslog | grep iplist

Can you start the GUI from command-line ?
Re: HOWTO: Graphical IP Blocker

When I do that the GUI still shows up, is there a way so I don't see the GUI?

Running ipblock in background can be done by using it from command-line:
Code:
Usage: ipblock [options]
Options:
-s start blocking
-d stop blocking
-r restart script
-u update lists
-c convert lists to ipl format
-g start ipblock GUI
-l show status
-h show this help

peerguardian, moblock and ipblock all use lists from bluetack.co.uk. But the peerguardian list names differ (http://peerguardian.sourceforge.net/lists/).
Re: HOWTO: Graphical IP Blocker

The main difference is that iplist is customizable with iptables which e.g. allows to REJECT packets or to keep existing firewall configurations.
