Jack audio with ALSA and PureData
I just received a laptop from a friend to fix up. I cleared the hard drive and put Ubuntu on it. This was just yesterday, so it's a fresh install. I'm trying to run PureData, but I'm having issues with it. When I try to start it, it says
I downloaded qjackctl, and upon pressing the start button I get this
JACK: unable to connect to JACK server
JACK: server returned status 17
Is there a package missing that I can install or is it something more in depth, and what would I have to do? Any help is appreciated, thanks.
