Don't let that put you off! I used a screen recorder 12 minutes in and onwards. The jerkiness is just because I was using a camcorder to record myself doing the first task which was to get the screen recorder. Once I got it that's all sorted... The rest of the video is a screencast basically ;)
Nice work if not a bit too long.
I liked your enthusiasm when you realized what is capable on linux.
You may want to do some research on why people choose linux and open source.
Sometimes it's not just about what works best or easiest.
Overall nice job though. I watched more of it than I thought I would.

Ok,good enough..I watched all of your series and really enjoyed it. I did not feel like you had an agenda, but were just providing info with your mum as the willing guinea pig.
I dumped Windows 9 years ago and am happy as a bunny in clover with Linux distros. I don't need Windows and only read about it when they have yet another problem,which gives me a chuckle.
